Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is recently classified under one of the eating disorders, where this disorder fails to meet the desired nutritional requirements of the body. ARFID is significantly distinct from anorexia nervosa as there is no connection between the distress about their body image and the disorder.
